Mental health support Bristol and Somerset

Bristol Mental Health â€“   Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (AWP) provides healthcare for people with serious mental illness, learning disabilities and autism in inpatient and community-based settings.  We service a population of around 1.8 million across Bath and North East Somerset (BaNES), Swindon and Wiltshire, and Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire.Bristol City’s mental health care system

Bristol Mind   Bristol Mind is a mental health resource for people in Bristol and surrounding areas  ​ Mind have a great resource link to free, Low cost and private Counselling and therapy organisations here

Mothers for Mothers.   Mothers for mothers offer a range of perinatal mental health support services. Most of their services, including helplines, one-to-one sessions, and counselling, are directed at mothers, but monthly support sessions are also available for fathers.

The Willow Tree Centre   Provides a free confidential and unbiased one-to-one listening and support service for people experiencing difficulties related to unplanned pregnancy, abortion, and after all types of pregnancy loss.

Maternity action:   Maternity Action provide advice, information, and confidential telephone support to parents worried about their rights at work and rights to benefits and healthcare.

The Compassionate Friends   They provide befriending, support and a helpline for bereaved parents, grandparents or siblings who have suffered the death of a child or children of any age and from any cause. Online and local support groups are also available.

Home-Start   Home start is a local community network of trained volunteers and expert support helping families with young children through their challenging times. We are there for parents when they need us the most because childhood can’t wait.
